I have completed 20 full marathons and one Ultra marathon trail run and a 25 k trail run. I did the Wasatch Back Relay in 2005 with a Ultra Mixed team and did it in 2006 , 2007 and 2009, 2010 with a 12 person team. Best marathon is Ogden 2010 in 3:19:00 and best Half Marathon is Ogden in 1:30:12. Finished my first Triathlon 5th place age and 14th overall in Layton on July 31st, 2010. Did the Bear lake Brawl sprint TRI loved it and finished 4th in age group and completed the South Davis TRI and also finished fourth in age. 13 overall. Short-Term Running Goals: Boston Qualify Ogden Marathon 2011 here I come. Ya hOO Long-Term Running Goals: just enjoy the running and meeting new people. I am doing my first TRI on July 31st in Layton and want to complete the Ironman in the future. Personal: married and have two wonderful girls. |

I had slowed down a few times to help the wife finish her run today. She did great and I think we are pushing for a PR in St GEorge in a few weeks in the half. Happy new Year everyone |

| | Ok today I decided that I would run outside since the fog lifted a bit. I went out pretty good and finished strong. Ran 5 miles at 34:18 and feel really good with that time. first mile and a half is up hill and the rest is flat. What is weird I feel like I could have ran faster, better save it for the half marathon next weekand. I feel like the speed work that I have been doing on the indoor track has really helped out. |

Painters Half Marathon (13.1 Miles) 01:36:01, Place overall: 113, Place in age division: 26 | | Well that was a pretty challenging half mile course. Alot of hills I was really surprised. 1470 total runners 113 place overall. I am happy with the results I was hoping for 1:30, but I feel really good considering the course. Congrats to all who ran and to Ben for the third place overall. |

Woke up in St George and the weather was to good to not go out and run a little after the race. I was a little sore but ran a nice 5 miler up some hills to the condos that we stayed at. Pretty slow at first and after a few miles I warmed up. |

| | Today was a speed work day. I went to the indoor track and sprinted 400's with tempo runs and then went to sprinting 200's and tempo after each for a total of 4 miles. I ran pretty fast . The trails are beat up from the buffalo and horses so lots of holes in the trail, but if you get up on the sides your good to go. finished strong. |

| | well I wanted to run a long run today and started at the causeway on Antelope Island and ran out to the island and ran to buffalo point and around and ran back to the causeway to the start. Good rain storm along the way and once I reached the Island the sun popped out and it warmed up a bit. Ran into all my trail running buddies who were running a 23 mile training run on the Island. | | Today I woke up at 4:45 and decided I would pound the pavement early before the storm hit. I ran through Clinton and up to main street and accross to Ultimate Indoor in West Haven, where my daughter was playing soccer early this morning. I was kinda tired from a long week and a little sore after my speed work yesturday. I did well and ran past the Indoor facility and went to 12th street then turned around and ran back to the soccer game to give me 16 miles. I ran it in 1:57 so not too bad for me. I had a little up hill and a little down hill along the course. Now I am going to enjoy the rest of my weekand and be a veggie. |

I have been trying to run everyday and my early training over the years I had more recovery days, so this running everyday is hopefully helping me out. | | Woke up early to run a 10 miler. I had to go to my daughters soccer tournament and she played five games and took second. I was proud of her accomplishment. Good job sweetie. I ran well it was cold today was wearing hat gloves and jacket. Held a 7:10 pace the entire run. feel good. |

| | Ran a nice 8 mile loop today around town. Knee was a little sore this weekand but I think I will be ok. I ran today and it feels fine, just was sore Sat and Sun. I dont know if I tweaked it on the track doing my speed work or not. Those darn curves. Oh well got it done today. I did not go out fast and I got up to my pace and held it for most the run today. I wanted to start a little slower in case the knee started to act up, But we are good so far. |

| | Today I woke up and wanted to run 10 miles but I finished with 9 miles. Not that I was tired but I ran a different route and thought it was 10. Oh well I will throw one extra in tomorrow. Ran todays run in 1:03 not to bad started slow and worked up to a good pace. trying to up the miles all week so we will see how it goes. |

| | Today I ran to Layton a nice out and back totalling 10.27 miles. I am tired today must be the running every day. My body feels like its going in slow motion. I am trying to build my miles up for the week and not really paying attention to what I always do and that is speed. I am hoping that comes later. lol Todays pace was pretty good between 7:00 and 7:30 and a 8:00 going up a hill . What a nice day though. |

| | Today was a long run so I left a little later then I wanted and the wind was horrible. I could not stay out of the wind. The wind shifted every time I changed directions it seemed like. I started and was amazed to see that my first 5k was 19 minutes. I held a pretty fast pace until the wind picked up, but i managed to lean into it and just enjoy the day. I can totally tell that running every day has caught up to me. I am exhausted this week and the miles are looking great. I finished in 2:07 and I think that time would have been better if there was no wind, but hey you get what you get. |

| | Tody it was snowing so I went for a nice run in the storm. 10.19 miles around a loop in Clinton and Clearfield. Wind was horrible with snow flying sideways from the North. Did well and just wanted to get the miles in. Pace was around a 7:30 and 8:00 on some up hill. Glad I dressed warm it was cold. |

| | Well I am a little late in posting my awesome run today. I decided that I would go all out and try to see where I would be at my best for pace on a half. Of course I picked a windy day to do it and told myself to just relax and run through it. I was able to run a out and back and the first five miles was wind in back and nice. The second was not so good I fealt like I was not getting anywhere. Well with a strong head wind I was able to finish in a 108:03 which is by far my best for 10 miles. And it could have been faster without the wind but I was able to run an amazing 6:10 and 6:15 mile the last two miles. We will see how the Ogden half goes this weekand ,I signed up today so hopfully a PR for me on the half. |

WRC Striders Half (13.1 Miles) 01:39:12, Place overall: 47, Place in age division: 7 | | Well I am late for my entry. I would have to say that I really dont know what happen yesturday. My time was not even close to what I wanted or predicted. The weather was horrible, wind and icy roads. I could really tell that sucking in the head wind was taking alot out of me. I was feeling pretty good at the beginning and once we got out of the canyon the wind started. I have never had a side ache before and I got one at mile 8 and I managed to run through it. I had a little head cold coming on the night before and did not sleep well the night before. There is alot of things that I can think of that could have caused me to not do so well. Rest, Head cold, Weather, and I dont know if running two days before at a very fast pace really helped me. I also ran the day before that was pretty slow just to keep my legs moving and loose. I dont know but its time to wipe this race away and forget about it and move on. I need to focus for Ogden and not stress over this. Good job to the 366 runners who came out and ran in the weather. It definitly was not my favorite day. lol |

| | Today looked a little wet and windy so I went for a run in it. Oh I hate the wind. Ran out to Layton from my home and circled back and met the wife at Jensen Park in syracuse and finished my last two miles with her. The weather started getting real yucky right when we finished so I am happy. I did well was not sore from Saturdays run so that is good. Hope everyone has a great weekand. |

| | Well today I was not expecting the 5 inches of snow in my driveway. YUK In April no less, gotta love Utah. Well I cleaned the snow off and headed out for my run for the day. It was cold and windy as usual. Started out with 2 miles tempo and 8 miles MP. Did pretty good considering the weather. Ran a total of 10 miles with a nice cool down of a half mile. |

| | Today was a nice day I started out with a nice couple miles at tempo and then 8 miles MP and a nice cool down . Did the loop around Sunset, Clearfield, Clinton. Started with all uphill for the first two miles and a few bridges to get to main. All in all it was a fun run and now I am going to catch a movie with the kids since they are out for spring break. |

| | Today was a very nice day for a run. I left around the AM time and did the 10 mile loop around several towns. I was feeling a little slow today but I managed to just keep it at a nice pace and build up the miles for the week without hurting myself. My muscles were tired and sore feeling from the effects of the 10 miles a day thing. But all in all what a great day. Now off to work for ten hours. YAY!!!!!!!!!!! not. |

| | Ok today is a busy day I needed to do a long run of 20 miles today , or I was scheduled to do one anyway. I knew that I was working late (graves) last night and had a few soccer games today with the girls before I go to work again today. My schedule changed at work and I do not get to have those weekands off like I had (damn). So I attended the soccer games with a few hours of sleep and when I got home I headed out the door to get a few miles in at least. I ran my normal 10 mile loop and finished pretty good. Lots of people out today. Little windy but all in all a great end of the week total of 60 miles. I will be running my 20 miler Monday morning since I am off and can get the rest that I need for that run. Trying to play it a little smart with rest and not just running with no sleep. Even though my miles this week is pretty good. I can not believe that I managed 10 miles a day all week. My legs are tired, but that is good. |

| | Well I needed a long run today and went out the door around 10 am. I decided that I was not going to do an out and back. I ran from my home up to main street in Clearfield and headed North 20 miles away. I passed Smith and Edwards in North Ogden and still needed a mile and a half, so I ran over the dike and out to the North marina of Willard Bay. Had the wife come pick me up after. I did pretty good had a little wind today and some nice up hill areas. Managed to run the 20 in 2:26:03. I believe with Ogden course having mostly down hill I will be doing pretty good and will hopfully PR . today was mostly flat and uphill, so we will see how it goes. |

| | Left today with a friend and my wife out the door by 6:50. Nice morning ran a few miles with them at the beginning. I left them and ran my pace around a 7:20 to syracuse and turned around at 5 1/2 and ran back to my home at a faster pace then out. I finished strong on the way back. I was running back home and caught a glimpse of about 25 runners in front of me and so I worked my way up with them and passed them and they were all the Police Academy students. I was able to make it to the front of the pack and run with my buddy Heath, who was training the guys. I then ran home from there. Nice day and hope everyone else had a great run at Salt Lake Marathon today. |

| | Only 5 miles today at the Cardiologist Office on the treadmill. As you can see my week has not been fun at all. I ended up with high Potassium levels and it made the Blood pressure sky rocket and my heart was doing some funky stuff, So the last three days have been nothing but tests on the heart. All is well and the Doctor cleared me for Monday to start running again so we are good. Well at least its peace of mind that I can run and finish. |

| | Today I got the clear to run from the Doctor. Yay!!!!!!!!!Strong Heart and healthy, I was so excited to get out the door. After a few days off I wanted to get going. I started at 1230 pm( because of the late call from the Doc) so it was a little warmer then I wanted but I managed. I ran the 22 miles out to Centerville/ North Salt lake area from Clinton. I finished in 2:38. I did feel pretty good but towards the end I was getting tired and slowed down a bit. The course was all flat and rolling hills especially through Farmington and Kaysville. I think I am ready and will do well. I will update you on my visit to the doctor tomorrow about the levels of potassium and why mine got so high. |

Decided to run my favorite 6 mile course, it has a lot of rolling hills and a little downhill. I managed to run this in 43:12 my knee was a little sore until I loosened up then I fealt great. Now Ice the knee and stretch. Not too bad of a run. Looking forward to Ogden in a week. Starting to get nervous I hate that. |

Well I was very sore going into this race. I had a pulled groin and ITB was tight on my right knee all week before the race. I was very stressed that I was not feeling 100 percent as I trained alot harder this marathon and had alot more miles in. I rode my bike the week before and put in a few miles to let the leg rest and see how it would hold up. The night before all I thought about was not finishing and my groin and knee not letting me finish. I told myself that I need a little bit of sleep and I was able to get a few hours is all. I woke up at 3 am to get started on some good breakfast, two bananas, piece of toast and some water. I took a power bar for the start while I was waiting. Bus was great I ended up on a nice charter bus that had reclining seats and sat next to a good friend. The ride was nice and I got to the start an hour and a half before. It was cold as usual and I managed to stay warm with a large plastic bag that covered my body. The race lined up on time and I decided that I was not going to line up to close to the front. So I lined up around the 7:50 to 8 minute pace sign. Not knowing how I would feel once I started running on my leg was so stressful. The race started and we were off. The first two miles was hard on the groin it was trying to stretch and I could feel it, but it did not hurt too bad. I ran the first half in 1:33 and was feeling really good. I got to the hill at 14 and once on top I feel my ITB tightening up and my groin started to hurt. I slowed a bit to a comfortable pace and finished at 3:24:04. Not to bad for the way I was feeling going into this race. Placed 160 overall and 30 in age group. The weather was awesome, great friends and people cheering along the way. These things do not get any easier. Good job to all that came out and ran.

Striders Memorial 5k (3.1 Miles) 00:20:02, Place overall: 10, Place in age division: 1 | | Well I worked a 14 hour day yesturday and got home at 2:30 this morning and said what the heck set the alarm for 5:45 to go register for the 5K in Syracuse. I have not ran a 5K in a while I was not anticipating a fast race, but my competitive inside told me line up with the young bucks up front. I mean there was young kids all over up front that I knew where going to fly out of the start. The race started and we were off. I stayed with the leaders throughout the race and we broke away from the large pack behind us. At mile 2 I thought wow this race is going fast and i am almost finished. I kicked to the finish and came in feeling good. Time was 20:02 and I wanted under 20 but oh well I was close to it. Great day took 10th overall and 1st in my old age group. |

| | today I ran out to Syracuse pond and back on the trail to 800 North and then up. Ran into a great friend about the last 2 miles and he joined me for a nice 6:50 pace back home. He said this is way to fast for me. I think he was just tired he just finished the Ironman a few weeks ago. |

| | Today I met about 20 people at the North Ogden Trail and ran a nice 10 k with them. The course was a challenging course with alot of rolling hills. Managed a 39:15 and I guess it was to be a fun run but I fealt really good and wanted to push the entire way. Hope they invite me to come back |

| | Today was a training run for the Wasatch Back. I woke up at 4:45 left out the door and got up to Pineview Dam and it was getting light. Weather was awesome so I headed up old snow basin road and ran both legs 11 and 12. total was around 14 miles of up and down hill running ending at Snow Basin lodge and running back. It was a great morning and good to get out of the heat and run early. |

I had a nice hot run first up snow basin that was very hot but did very well. Second run was nice in the middle of the night around Rockport and last was the nice down hill from the top of ragnar that goes off the beaten path after two miles and is all trail running from there down the ski resort 7.45 miles. Nice run and great to get off the pavement and on the trails on the last run. I flew so fast that I was afraid to slow down or I would hurt myself . Ran it in 50:12. Yay lol |

This was my third TRI this year and I was excited for this one. The temp was cold after transition from swim to bike, but the swim I did better then I anticipated and the bike was the third fastest time so feel good about that. The run from transition is something I need to work on after everything else my legs dont have much but I will beat my goal soon and overcome the tiredness if I keep training. Oh ya plus this stress fracture in my hip that I need to let heal. I will be ready for TRI season first of the year. |

Fireman house 5k (3.1 Miles) 00:21:30, Place overall: 4, Place in age division: 2 | | Race went well as expected. Great fast 5k course. Tested out the Cortizone shot that I had in my hip last week and things feel much better. I had a Interarticular impingment on right side. Comes with running alot i guess. |
